This collaboration was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding by Yune Marketatmo as the President Director of Surge and Yulianto Sri Hartadi as the President Director of Iconvest.

Both companies have agreed to develop a business portfolio of affordable internet, including sharing competencies and capacities. This collaboration is expected to be a positive catalyst for the operational performance of both parties. Surge’s revenue from its telecommunications segment has grown by more than 170% compared to the same period last year, and this collaboration with ICONVEST is expected to further enhance the company's telecommunications segment and have a significant impact on the public by providing affordable unlimited internet.

ICONVEST is a subsidiary of PT Indonesia Comnets Plus (PLN Icon Plus), an internet service provider with nearly 3 million homepasses spread across Indonesia. Meanwhile, Surge owns a high-capacity connectivity network along the railway lines, with a total backbone reaching 7,000 km. This collaboration is expected to bridge each party's competencies, improving infrastructure efficiency in delivering affordable internet services to households.

Previously, Surge (WIFI), through its subsidiary PT Integrasi Jaringan Ekosistem (IJE), has established various new collaborations and partnerships in 2024, including a partnership with Pertamina Gas Negara (PGN) to develop gas pipeline networks and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) services for 2.5 million households. The company has also formed a strategic partnership with Nokia to accelerate the development of affordable connectivity by utilizing Nokia's latest technology. Surge has also started its collaboration with Arsari Group, where Arsari Group, through Arsari Sentra Data, will invest in the company to achieve their shared goal of providing reliable and affordable internet infrastructure for 25 million households. Through its subsidiary, PT Integrasi Jaringan Ekosistem (IJE), the company has issued bonds worth IDR 600 billion to support the expansion of reliable and affordable connectivity infrastructure. This reliable and affordable internet provision is expected to lead to a digital transformation that will ultimately drive economic transformation towards higher national growth.
